Their favorite people. Ready in a tap.

Dear Photos turns the family photos you choose into a calm, responsive slideshow for the moment you hand your phone or tablet to a baby.

Each tap, hold, drag and swipe brings the picture gently to life with soft light and, if you like, soft sound. You can circle a familiar face and record a tiny hello, so a tap sounds like someone they love. When it’s time, a parent check brings you back.

There’s no Dear Photos account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and no Dear Photos cloud. Your photos and recordings stay in the app on your device. The privacy policy explains exactly what Dear Photos keeps and where.

Dear Photos is being made for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 18 or later) and for Android phones and tablets (Android 10 or later). It is in testing and isn’t in the App Store or Google Play yet.

Help and questions

The support page covers making sets, familiar voices, sound, the parent check, and Guided Access and app pinning.
